There is no more stopping to pay your tolls with cash on the Gateway and Logan motorways. Your tolls are calculated automatically as you drive under a toll point, using either a go viatag or by go viavideo, where an image of your vehicle registration plate number is captured and matched against a database.

Residents

A go viatag is the cheapest way to pay your tolls and can be used on all Australian tolls roads. Visit https://www.govia.com.au/via/home/Payment+options/go+viatag/ for more information or to sign up online.

When setting up your go via account you will be given the options of receiving statements by mail or email and manually or automatically topping up your account. Statements sent by mail incur a $3.00 fee per statement issued.  Manually topping up your account incurs a $1.00 fee for each top up. So we suggest selecting web for receiving statements and setting top ups to automatic.

You can link multiple vehicles to your go via account.

Visitors

If you are here on holiday there is no point applying for a go viatag to install in your car. Instead you can use a go viavideo account or pass.

We recommend a go viavideo pass which can be arranged to capture toll charges for 1 day or for a period of up to 30 days. The toll charges are charged to your credit card.  Visit https://www.govia.com.au/via/home/Payment+options/go+viavideo+passes/ for more information.

If you don't have any payment arrangements in place, you have three days to pay. After three days, you will incur a $7 fee on top of the toll and are up for another $20 after 30 days.
